From the very beginning, Sryptos has been about more than just building a private messenger; it's about fostering trust through transparency. Today, we're thrilled to take a major step in that commitment by open-sourcing key components of our platform and inviting you to join our community on GitHub.

Why Open Source?

For a security-focused application, transparency is not just a buzzword—it's a necessity. This value is central to our work at BHK Vision Labs. By making our code public, we are enabling a global community of developers, security researchers, and privacy advocates to:

  • Verify Our Claims: You don't have to take our word for it. You can inspect the code yourself to see how our encryption and privacy features are implemented.
  • Identify Vulnerabilities: More eyes on the code means potential security issues can be found and fixed faster. We welcome responsible disclosure from the security community.
  • Contribute to a Safer Internet: Help us improve Sryptos by reporting bugs, suggesting features, or even submitting pull requests.

What's Being Open-Sourced?

We are starting by open-sourcing our client-side application code. This includes the entire Next.js frontend, our component library, and most importantly, the complete cryptographic implementation that handles end-to-end encryption.

Our server-side logic, primarily consisting of Firebase Functions for routing and data management, will remain private for now to protect against abuse and ensure platform stability. However, we are committed to providing detailed documentation on how these functions operate. Our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service reflect this commitment.

How to Get Involved

We invite you to visit our official GitHub repository. There, you can:

  1. Explore the Code: Dive into the codebase to understand how Sryptos works.
  2. Read the Documentation: We are building out comprehensive documentation for developers.
  3. Report Issues: Find a bug? Have a feature request? Open an issue to let us know.
  4. Contribute: Check out our contribution guidelines and help us make Sryptos even better.

Building Trust Together

Open source is a journey, not a destination. It's a philosophy shared by our team at BHK Vision Labs. We are excited to build a strong, collaborative community around Sryptos and work together to create a more private and secure digital world.
